St. Michael's School, Digha Ghat, is a Higher Secondary Catholic School, founded in 1858 and now managed by the members of the Society of Jesus, a group of men dedicated to God's greater glory through the service of mankind. The Society of Jesus, founded by St. Ignatius of Loyola in 1540, has been active in the field of education throughout the world since its origin.
